Artist Information
Each artist will have a pre-assigned space on the sidewalk in Downtown Covington. This space will be 8 feet wide and 3 feet deep. Some spaces will have limited access to electricity.
Artist Space Fee: $20 per space (if you are a returning artist and sign up before April 1, 2020)
$25 per space (if you are a new artist and sign up before April 1, 2020.)
$35 per space (if you are a new or returning artist and sign up after April 1, 2020) DEADLINE IS APRIL 18, 2020!
Limited 2 spaces per artist.

Artist Regulations
1. Main Street Covington reserves the right to limit the number and types of vendors. If you require special accommodations due to a disability, please contact one of the event representatives.
2. The Downtown Art Walk is open to artists ages 10 and older. Artists under the age of 18 must have permission by parent/guardian to participate.
3. Artists between the ages of 10 and 15 must have an adult present with them at all times during the Art Walk.
4. Artists may sell their work; however, it is not necessary that they do so. If you do sell your work, you are responsible for collecting and reporting your sales tax.
5. If you plan on taking credit card sales, please keep in mind that the Wi-Fi signal in Downtown Covington is very weak so please have alternate ways to accept payments.
6. Each artist will have a pre-assigned space on the sidewalk in Downtown Covington. This space will be 8 feet wide and 3 feet deep. There is no height restriction. The sidewalks are smooth even surfaces; however, they are not level due to the topography of Downtown Covington. If you require a space that is level, please note that on your application.
7. Artists can set up no earlier than 3:00pm on the day of the event. Set-up must be completed by 4:30pm. Each artist will have a pre-assigned space.
8. Arts and crafts handmade by the artist. Items not created by the exhibitor will not be permitted in the event.
9. Resale of wholesale items (buy/sell), commercially manufactured products, mass produced items and kits ARE NOT PERMITTED and will result in immediate dismissal.
10. Artists must submit up to 5 pictures. One picture must represent your work as it is displayed; one must represent a workshop photo of the artist creating their work; the other three need to represent your items as an accurate representation in size, style, and quality of work.
11. Artists must provide their tables, chairs, easels, etc. No tents will be permitted.
12. Artists will not be allowed to hang their work on the buildings, lampposts, trees or other permanent structures. Artists must bring their own easels and other means of displaying their work.
13. Artists are responsible for their own booth set-up and clean-up.
14. The Artist Fee does not include the cost of tables, chairs, electricity, etc.
15. Electricity is a separate fee of $25 per Artist. Electricity is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Your space assignment will be near an electrical outlet. If you state on your application that you need electricity, you must provide your own extension cords and power strips. Please keep in mind that the event will begin in daylight and will end at night. Please plan accordingly. Due to noise levels, generators are not allowed.
16. Police, Fire, and EMT support will be provided; however, event organizers are not responsible for any stolen, damaged or missing items.
17. No refunds will be given once your agreement has been accepted. Assigned booth spaces are final. You must register with event staff the day of the event. After you have completed registration, you may proceed to your assigned booth space.
18. Artists are responsible to collect and properly bag trash within your sales location.
19. Booths must remain set up until the event is over. Artists are responsible for providing or arranging for all necessary labor in unpacking, erecting, dismantling and re-packing displays. Event staff is not available to assist with set-up or breakdown. You shall only store or display materials on appropriate surfaces of your booth and not in pedestrian aisles.
20. Be prepared for any kind of weather—sun, heat, or wind. In then event of rain, the Downtown Art Walk may be rescheduled or canceled.
21. No refunds will be given for any cancellation whether caused by the vendor or Main Street Covington or event organizers.
22. If you are accepted to participate in the Art Walk, you may be asked to submit bio information and your artist statement to be used in a press release or a newspaper article to help advertise the event.
